How to read Darija written in Latin letters

Moroccans often text in Latin letters and use numbers for sounds English doesn't have: 3 for ع, a sound from the throat; 7 for ح, a breathy h; 9 for ق, a k from deep in the throat; 2 for a glottal stop. kh sounds like the Scottish “loch”, gh like a French r, and ch like the English “sh”.
